Call to Order. TIME: 2:32 P.M. 2. Roll Call. PRESENT: Councilmembers Garbarino and Normandy. ABSENT: None. 3. Public Comments. None. CONSENT 4. Motion to Approve the Minutes of the meeting of February 16, 2016 and February 24, 2016. Approved. ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS 5. Review of and Motion to Finalize Funding Recommendations for CDBG FY 2016-2017. Councilmembers and staff discussed community needs and organizations within the following categories for consideration; Public Service Grants, Minor Home Repair Programs, City- Sponsored Programs, CDBG Administration Funding, and Home Funds concerning fair housing activities. Following their assessment, Garbarino and Normandy agreed to make the following funding allocation recommendations under the Public Service Grants category: Organization Program FY 16-17 Amount CDBG Subcommittee Requested Recommendation CORA CORA Emergency $10,000 $9,000 Shelter Program HIP Housing Home Sharing Program $10,000 $9,000 John Papan Memorial John's Closet $5,000 $4,000 Legal Aid Society Homesavers $10,000 $5,000 Parca Family Support Services $6,500 $5,000 Rape Trauma Services Sexual Assault Services $10,000 $9,000 Center Samaritan House Safe Harbor $12,000 $9,000 StarVista Transitional Housing $10,000 $5,000 Placement Plus Ombudsman Services of Advocacy services to $15,000 $5,000 San Mateo County,Inc. elderly and developmentally disabled individuals Health Mobile Dental Care for Children $10,000 $7,629 Biotech Partners Biotech Academy at $50,000 Seek opportunity for South San Francisco partnered funding with SSFUSD Estimated CDBG Funds Available: $67,629 Conversation ensued regarding security lighting,pedestrian improvements, safety concerns, and crosswalks. Councilmember Garbarino requested staff prioritize the Downtown area. 6. Upcoming subcommittee meeting schedule. ADJOURNMENT Being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:12 P.M.
