PARKING PLACE COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING MINUTES DECEMBER 12, 1995, Page 2 Dennis Chuck of the Engineering Division presented the staff report. He explained that delivery trucks 'currently have to double park, blocking the roadway, due to insufficient parking for loading and unloading of merchandise. Dennis stated that petitions had been received from adjacent property owners indicating agreement with the proposed yellow zone. He stated that staff recommends approving the request and added th'at the Police Department has no objections either. Dennis said that the applicant felt that because of the number of deliveries, the loading zone should be in effect all day, not just for the morning. Other businesses would be able to use this zone throughout the day as well. In response to Commissioner Peterson's question if other 2-hour parking spaces in the area are filled, Dennis said that the applicant indicated the spaces are filled. The double parking .that goes on now blocks the roadway because it is narrow. Commissioners asked Dan Moseley to read the title of the Resolution into the minutes. Motion was made, seconded and carried to approve the Resolution authorizing the fnstallation of one yellow curb to replace one 2-hour parking meter on Cypress Avenue next to Auto Row Parts in the City of South San Francisco. There being no further items for discussion, the meeting was adjourned at 5:11 P.M. Respectfully submitted, Dan Moseley, Commission Secretary, Sign~a re of Chair
