Item 1. Pilot Bike Share Program with Bluegogo: Presentation by Justin Lovell, City of
South San Francisco Public Works Administrator
Public Works Administrator Justin Lovell shared that the City is working with a bike share
company named Bluegogo to implement a pilot bike share program.

Bluegogo will be dropping off four demonstration bikes that will be available for use while the
City works out the details of the three month pilot program. The program should begin in June
2017, and within that time, the company will have 70-100 bicycles available for public use
within South San Francisco.
Bluegogo bikes are activated by a cell phone application an account would need to be set up. Per
Justin Lovell, the first five rides are free and once those rides are exhausted, the cost to the user
would be $0.99 for each 30 minutes of use.
If South San Francisco adopts the program, the City would be the first to operate Bluegogo’s
bike share program in the United States.
