Lawrence said the subject of Bicycle Ridership Improvements between Oyster Point and West of
101 and bicycle facilities was mentioned at the Council Meeting in passing. At this time there

COMMITTEE COMMENTS:
Alvin Zachariah
Alvin talked about promoting BPAC on a local radio talk show and asked the committee
for input and volunteers. Natalie suggested talking about the improvements BPAC is
working on, and Lawrence suggested promoting the City’s trails. Cassandra said it would
be helpful to have a list of upcoming projects readily available to present. Alvin said he
would look into the date, time, and location of the show and will coordinate with the
volunteer speaker when that information is available.
Cassandra Woo
Cassandra introduced Jeffrey Tong, Vice Chairperson of the San Bruno BPAC.
Cassandra said he was at the meeting to speak about his city’s concerns and ideas, and to
inquire about whom to direct questions to about things he has noticed in South San
Francisco. Lawrence said Parks and Recreation should be contacted for overgrown plant
and poison oak issues, and any Bicycle and standard signage issues should be directed to
the Traffic Advisory Committee. Jeffrey shared that San Bruno’s new Bike and Walk
Plan should be finished in May. Lawrence said both committees can look into further
coordination in the future on issues that relate to South San Francisco.
Ari Gerrits
Jeffrey wanted to see the Bay Ridge Trail at Skyline and the Bay Trail connected, so Ari
suggested getting together personally on a separate day to see what the possibilities of
this happening are.
