Chair Comments: No comments. Agenda Review: No changes. Public Participation: Jeffrey Tong, Vice Chairperson for San Bruno BPAC. Public Comments: Jeffrey Tong came by to share ideas of revising standard signage and how to have both cities work together for future improvements. Approval of Minutes: Minutes of February 3, 2016 and March 2, 2016 were approved. ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS: Item 1. Bicycle/Pedestrian Improvements along S. Airport Blvd, N. Access Road, and Belle Air Road Lawrence went over the DKS summary of proposed improvements along South Airport Blvd, North Access Road, and Belle Aire Road. Some of the committee members were present at the field visits with BCDC and DKS that were held at the end of March 2016 and gave their feedback. At the review of the summary report, Natalie Gore suggested exploring the possibility of dedicated bicycle lights, which work independently from traffic lights. Lawrence said he would pass this suggestion on. Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes April 6, 2016 Page 2 of 2 Item 2. Bicycle Ridership Improvements between Oyster Point and West of 101 Lawrence said the subject of Bicycle Ridership Improvements between Oyster Point and West of 101 and bicycle facilities was mentioned at the Council Meeting in passing. At this time there were no further details to share. COMMITTEE COMMENTS: Alvin Zachariah  Alvin talked about promoting BPAC on a local radio talk show and asked the committee for input and volunteers. Natalie suggested talking about the improvements BPAC is working on, and Lawrence suggested promoting the City’s trails. Cassandra said it would be helpful to have a list of upcoming projects readily available to present. Alvin said he would look into the date, time, and location of the show and will coordinate with the volunteer speaker when that information is available. Cassandra Woo  Cassandra introduced Jeffrey Tong, Vice Chairperson of the San Bruno BPAC. Cassandra said he was at the meeting to speak about his city’s concerns and ideas, and to inquire about whom to direct questions to about things he has noticed in South San Francisco. Lawrence said Parks and Recreation should be contacted for overgrown plant and poison oak issues, and any Bicycle and standard signage issues should be directed to the Traffic Advisory Committee. Jeffrey shared that San Bruno’s new Bike and Walk Plan should be finished in May. Lawrence said both committees can look into further coordination in the future on issues that relate to South San Francisco. Ari Gerrits  Jeffrey wanted to see the Bay Ridge Trail at Skyline and the Bay Trail connected, so Ari suggested getting together personally on a separate day to see what the possibilities of this happening are.
