Chair Comments: None. Agenda Review: No changes. Public Participation: None. Public Comments: None. Approval of Minutes: Minutes of September 7, 2016 were not approved due to lack of quorum. ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS: Item 1. City Councilmember Karyl Matsumoto City Councilmember Karyl Matsumoto asked BPAC to consider including more community involvement groups when seeking input about projects and letters of support. Councilmember Matsumoto also said that every major development project should be presented to BPAC before it goes through the planning process and especially before Council. This will allow BPAC to determine how to make the plans bicycle and pedestrian friendly. Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes November 2, 2016 Page 2 of 2 Councilmember Matsumoto would like to see the City’s Bike Plan updated, and asked for BPAC’s ideas about pedestrian crossing on El Camino. Item 2. Bicycle Friendly Community Sign- Recommend locations for installation The committee was asked to give feedback on where the 18x24 community signs should be located. It was recommended that Oyster Point, S. Airport Blvd., E. Grand Ave., Hickey Blvd./ Junipero Serra, and McLellan would get the most visibility. Item 3. Bike Share Lawrence shared that San Mateo is developing Bike Shares and were testing them in their city. The committee decided to see how testing in San Mateo goes before thinking about locations in South San Francisco. Item 4. Complete Streets Safety Assessment (CSSA) Lawrence forwarded the assessment to the committee for review since no funding was granted for the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan this year. Lawrence thought it would be a good idea to choose potential candidates for future opportunities. COMMITTEE COMMENTS: Cassandra Woo:  Discussed Bay Trail Assessment and asked Lawrence to obtain the checklist and assign bay trail sections amongst members. The purpose of the assessment is to ensure the trail is safe and maintained. Olma O’Neill  Gave input on bike rack locations on Grand Ave. STAFF COMMENTS: None. ACTION: None ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, Chairperson Woo closed the meeting at 7:39 pm.
