AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESI(~NATED "FAY - JANEIRO" TO THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO:
~IEREAS~ on the ?th day o£ December 1959, the
Council of the City of South San Francisco did pass and
adopt Resolution No. 2909
annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of South
San Francisco, sa~d territory beins~ therein desisnated as
"Fay - Janeiro', said Resolution descr~b~nS the boundaries
of the territ~z~ proposed to be annexed; and
~v~EREAS, said Resolution No. 2909 d£d contain a
notice of the day, hour and place when and where the
Council of ~he C~y ~ou~d hear protests ~de by any p~son
o~nS rea~ proper~y ~h~n ~he ~e~r~o~y proposed ~o be
annexed, the ~

made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately
owned terrEtory proposed to be annexed as shown by the
last equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners of
one-half of the value of the publicly owned territory pro-
posed to be annexed as determined by said leslslative body;
and
k~EREAS, saEd territory is contisuous to the City
of South San Francisco, and is uninhabited territory in the
County of San Hateo, State of California; and
~HEREAS, the owners of said territory have SEven
and executed their written consent that the same shall,
upon annexation, be subject to taxation to pay a propor-
tionate share of any and all pre-existinS indebtedness or
liabilities of said City of South San Francisco, which
~rritten consent is presently on file with the City Clerk
of said City;
NOW, THEP~FORE, the said Cou~acil of the City of
South San Francisco does hereby approve the annexation of
the territory hereinafter described to the City of South
San Francisco, and does hereby further ordain that the
said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City o£
South San Francisco.
That said territory, the annexation of which to
the City of South San Francisco is herein approved, is all
that territory situate in the County of San Hateo, State
of California, more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point where the northeasterly
line of Block lettered "B" intersects the
northwesterly line of Country Club Drive, as
said block and drive are shown on the map
entitled, "HAP NO. I COUNTItY CLUB PAl~ SAN
HATEO COUNTY CALIFORNIA", filed in the office
of the ltecorder of the County of San Hateo
on May 9, 194.1, in Book 23 of Naps at pases
54, 55 and 56, thence from said point of
besinnins alonS the northeasterly line of
said Block lettered "B" and its prolonsation
North 31° 15' West 435. feet; thence North
58° 45' East 325 feet to the southwesterly
line of E1 Casino Real l thence alons Bid
southwesterly line, South 31° 15' East
455 feet to the Northwesterly line of
Country Club Drive above referred to;
thence along the last named line, South
58° 45' West 325 feet to the point of
besinning, and
All that certain real property situate in the
County of San Mateo, State of California, described as
follows:
BEGINNING at a point where the Northeasterly
line of Block lettered "B" inte~ects ~he
Northwesterly line of Country Club Drive,
as Said Block and Drive are shown on the
map entitled "Map No. 1 Country Club Park,
San Mateo COunty, California" filed in the
Office of the Recorder of the County of
.San Mateo on Map 9, 1941, in Book 23 of Maps
at Pages 54, 55 and 56; thence from said
oint of beginnins proceed in a NOrtheaster-
~ direction along the Northwesterly line of
Country Club Drive for a distance of 325
feet; thence turning and proceeding in a
southwesterly direction South 31° 15i East
for a distance of 80 feet more or less to
the Southeasterly line of Country Club Drive;
thence turning and proc,,dins in a Southwest-
erly direction SoUth 58° 45t West for a
distance of 325 feet; thence turning and pro-
ce~ding in a Northwesterly direction North
3lv 15' WeSt for a distance of 80 feet to the
oint of beginning. The whole encompassing
6,000 square feet or .59? ! Acres.
