HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 454-1960 ORDINANCE NO. 454 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 256, AS AMENDED, ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO TRAFFIC AND REGULATING USE OF PUBLIC STREETS IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO; DEFINING AND PROVIDING FOR Tf~ ESTABLISf~ENT OF PARKING METER ZONES; REGULATING AND CON- TROLLING AND PROVIDING FOR INSPECTION OF THE PARKING OF VEHICLES THEREIN BY THE USE OF PARKING METERS; PRESCRIBING LIMITS OF TIME FOR PARKING IN PARKING METER ZONES; PROVIDING FOR T~E ENFORCEMENT OF THIS ORDINANCE", ADOPTED OCTOBER 21, 1946. The City Council of the City of South San Francisco does ordain as follows: Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 256 entitled, "AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO TRAFFIC AND REGULATING USE OF PUBLIC STREETS IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO; DEFINING AND pRO. VIDING FOR THE ESTABLISf~ENT OF PARKING METER ZONES; REGULAT- ING AND CONTROLLING AND PROVIDING FOR INSPECTION OF THE PARK- ING OF VEHICLES THEREIN BY THE USE OF PARKING METERS; PRE- SCRIBING LIMITS OF TIME FOR PARKING IN PARKING METER ZONES; PROVIDING FOR THE ENFORCEMENT OF THIS ORDINANCE", adopted October 21, 1946, is hereby amended by addin$ thereto Section 2.1 reading as follows: Section 2.1 parkinK Meter Zones Established. The following parking lots in the City of South San Francisco are hereby established as parking meter zones: Parking Lot 1: All of Lot 2 and the east 1/2 of Lot 3 in Block 139 as delineated and set out on that certain map en- titlid, "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co., Cal., Plat No. 1", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County on March 1, 1892, in Book "B" of Origin- al Maps at page 6 and copied into Book 2 of Maps at page 52. Parking Lot 2: All of Lots 9 and 10 in Block 140 as delin- eated and set out on that certain map entitled, "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co., Cal., Plat No. 1", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Nateo County on March l, 1892, in Book "B" of Original Naps at page 6 and copied into Book 2 of Maps at page Parking Lot 3: All of Lot 18 in Block 125 as delineated and set out on that certain map entitled, "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co., Cal., Plat No. 1", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County on March 1, 1892, in Book "B" of Original Naps at page6 and copied into Book 2 of Maps at page 52. Parking Lot 4: All of Lots 19 and 20 in Block 140 as delin- eated and set out on. that certain map entitled, "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co,, Cal., Plat No. 1", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County on March 1, 1892, in Book "B" of Original Naps at page 6 and copied into Book 2 of Maps at page 52. Parking Lot 5: All of Lots 5 and 6 in Block 124 as delineated and set out on that certain map entitled, "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co., Cal., Plat No. l", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County on March 1, 1892, in Book "B" of Original Maps at page 6 and copied into Book 2 of Maps at page 52- Parking Lot 6: All of Lots 5 and 6 in Block 126 as delineated and set out on that certain map entitled, "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co., Cal., Plat No. 1", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County on March 1, 1892, in Book "B" of Original Maps at page 6 and copied into Book 2 of Maps at page 52. Parking Lot No. 6 consists of city lands ordered to be set aside and used for the purposes of Parking District no. 1 by Ordinance No. 425 of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco. Parking Lot 7: All of Lots 12 and 13 in Block 126 as delin- eated and set out on that certain map entitled, "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co., Cal., Plat No. 1," which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County on March 1, 1892, in Book "B" of Original Maps at page.6 and copied into Book 2 of Maps at page 52. Parking lot No 7 con- e sists of city lands ordered to be set aside and used for the purposes of Parking District No. 1 by Ordinance No. 425 of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco. Public Way l: The easterly 25 feet of Lot 23 in Block as delineated and set out on that certain map entitled, "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co., Cal., Plat No. 1", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County on March 1, 1892, in Book "B" of Original Maps at page 6 and copied into Book 2 of Maps at page 52. Section 2. This ordinance is for i~ediate preser- vation of public peace and safety because it provides for safe expeditious parking of vehicles there by relieving a congested unsafe traffic condition in the central business district and shall take effect immediately. Section 3. This ordinance shall be published once as required by law. * * * * Introduced this 17th day of O~tober 1960. Passed and adopted as an ordinance of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, held on the 17t..h day of October 1960, by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN Andrew Rocca, G.
