AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED "COUNTRY CLUB CENTER TERRITORY"
TO THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO:
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of March, 1961, the Couucil
of the City of South Sau Fraucisco did pass and adopt Resolutiou
No. 3152 giviug uotice of the proposal to annex certaiu uuiuhabit-
ed territory to the City of South Sau Francisco, said territory
beiug thereiu designated as Country Club Ceuter Territory, said
Resolutiou describiug the bouudaries of the territory proposed to
be aunexed, and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 3152 did contain a
notice of the day, hour aud place when aud where the Couucil
of the City would hear protests made by auy persou owning
real property within the territory proposed to be anuexed,
the time of said hearin~ being uot less than forty (40) nor
more than sixty (60) days from the date of passage of said Reso-
lutiou, and
WHEREAS, ou the 1st day of May, 1961, at the hour
of 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers iu the City Hall of the
City of South Sau Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of
Califorula, said time and place beiu~ the day, hour and
place fixed iu said Resolutiou No. 3152 for heariug protests
to the said auuexation~ the said City Council did at said
hearing hear protests made to the proposed annexation in the
Council Chambers iu the City Hall and the said City Council did
complete the hearing and did pass upon all protests made to the pro-
posed annexation and did determine that protests had not been made
by the owners of one-hal£ of the value of the privately owned
territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized
assessment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the value
of the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed as
termined by said legislative body, and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of
South San Francisco and is uninhabited territory in the County
of San Mateo, State of California, and
WHEREAS, the owners of said territory have given
and executed their written consent as provided by law that the
property within the annexed territory shall upon annexation
be taxed and subject to taxation to pay any indebtedness or
liability of the City of South San Francisco contracted prior
to or existing at the time of annexation on the same basis as
property is taxed throughout said City, which written consent is
presently on file with the City Clerk of said City.
NOW~ THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of
South San Francisco does hereby approve the annexation of
the territory hereinafter described to the City of South
San Francisco~ and does hereby further ordain that the said
territor~y be and is hereby annexed to the City of South San
Francisco and is designated Country Club Center Territory.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
City of South San Francisco is herein approved, is all that
territory situate iu the County of San Mateo, State of Califorula~
more particularly described as follows:
All that real property situated iu the County of San
Mateo, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point ou the existing corporate limit line
of the City of South San Francisco as established by City 0rdi~
uance No. 448 (Fay-Jaueiro Annexation) passed by the City Council
of the City of South San Francisco ou February 15~ 1960, said
point of beginning being the most Southeasterly corner of Lot l,
Block "B" as shown ou that certain map entitled "T~act No. 534
Map No. l, Country Club Park, San Mateo Co~nty~ California", filed
in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County ou May 9~
1941 in Book 23 of Maps, at pages 54, 55 and 56; thence on and
along said corporate limit and the Easterly side of said Lot l,
Block "B", North 31° 15' West 145.00 feet; thence leaving said
corporate limit line South 58° 45' West140.00 feet along the
Northerly side of said Lot l~ Block "B"; thence leaving said
Northerly side of said lot in a Southerly direction, South 31° 15'
East 145.00 feet to the Northerly line of Country Club Drive street
right of way; thence crossing said street right of way South 31° 15'
East 80.00 feet to a point ou the Southerly line of Country Club
Drive street right of way and the existing corporate limit line
of South San Francisco as established by City 0rdiuauce No. 4R7
(Poletti Annexation) passed by City Council on November 3, 1958;
thence ou and aloug said existing corporate limit and ~he South-
erly line of said Country Club D~ive, North 58° ~5' East l~O.O0
feet; thence leaving said Southerly line of Couutry Club Drive
in a Northerly direction North 31~ 15' West 80.00 feet to the
Northerly line of said street right of way and the point of
beginning. Said portion of Lot ~, Block "B" contains approxi~.
mately 0.4? Acres. . . . . . . . . . .

Passed and adopted as au ordinance of the City of South
San Francisco at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of South San Francisco this 15th day of May
1961, by the following vote:
AYES, COUNCILMEN G. J. Rozzi, Patrick E. Ahern, Emilio Cortesi,
Andrew Rocca, and Leo J. Ryan.
