AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRAN-
CISCO AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 353, ENTITLED
"ZONING ORDINANCE OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,
CALIFORNIA"
The City Council of the City of South San Francisco
does ordain as follows:
Section l: Amendment of Section 6.21 et. seq.
Section 6.21 and 6.22 of Zoning 0rdinauce No. 353,
as amended, shall be amended so that as amended it shall
read as follows:
Section 6.21 Applications:
(a) Applications for use permits may be made only
by an interested party and shall be made to
the Planning Commission iu writing on a form
prescribed by the Commission and shall be
accompanied by plans and elevations necessary
to show the detail of the proposed use of
building. Such applications shall be accompan-
ied by a fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) each.
(b) When an application has been filed, the Plan-
ning Commission Secretary shall process it as
expeditiously as possible and set a public
hearing.
Section 6.22 Public Hearings:
(a) A public hearing shall be held within thirty

(30) days after the filiug of the application,
notice of which shall be giveu by one publica-
tion iua newspaper of general circmlation iu
the City at least ten (10) days prior to such
heariug and by postiug notice on the property
involved, or adjacent thereto at least ten
(10) days p~ior to such heariug.
Section 2: Amendment of Section 6.31 of Zoning
Ordinance No. 353.
Section 6.31 of Zoning Ordinance No. 353, as amended,
is hereby amended by adding thereto Section 6.Bl(b), ~hich
shall read as follows:
Section 6.Bl(b) Wheu an application has beeu filed,
the Planning Commissiou Secretary shall process
it as expeditiously as possible aud set a pub-
lic heariug.
Section 3. Amendment of Section 6.32 of Zoning
Ordinance No. 953.
Section 6.32 of Zoulug O~diuauce No. 353, as amended,
shall be amended so that as amended it shall ~ead as follows:
Section 6.32 Public Hea~in~s:
(a) A public hea~ing shall be held ~ithin thirty
(30) days after the filing of the application,
notice of which shall be given by one (1) pub-
licatiou in a newspaper of general circulation
in the City at least ten (lC) days prior to
such hearing and by posting notice on the
property iuvolved, or adjacent thereto, at
least ten (lC) days prior to such heariug.

Passed and adopted as au ordiuance of the City of
South San Francisco at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of South San Fraucisco this
17th day of July , 19 61 ,by the
following vote:
AYES, COUNCILMEN Patrick E. Ahern, Emilio Cortesi, Andrew Rocca,
and Leo J. Ryan.
NOES, " None.
ABSENT, " G.J. Rozzi.
