AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 20.26 (DOWNTOWN
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
MUNICIPAL CODE TO REQUIRE A USE PERMIT FOR
RELIGIOUS ASSEMBLY USES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Subsection (a) of Section 20.26.020 of the South San Francisco
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read:
Section 20.26.020 Permitted Uses.
The following use types shall be permitted in ~p-C districts:
(a) Civic Use Types.
Administrative Services
Community Education
Convalescent Services
Cultural and Library Services
Day Care Services:
Day Care Center
Large Family Day Care Home
Essential Services
Park and Recreation
Public Parking Services
Safety Services
SECTION 2.
Subsection (b) of Section 20.26.030 of the South San Francisco
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read:
Section 20.26.030 Uses Permitted Subject to Obtaining a Use Permit.
The following use types are permitted in D-C districts subject to obtaining
a use permit:
(b) Civic Use Types.
Community Recreation
Group Care
Hospital Services
Major Public Services
Religious Assembly
Utility Services
SECTION 3. Publication and Effective Date.
This ordinance shall be published once in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper
of general circulation in the City of South San Francisco, as required by law, and
shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after its adoption.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco, held the 14th day of October , 19 87 .
Adopted as an Ordinance of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, held the 28th
day of October , 19 87 , by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers John "Jack" Drago, Richard A. Haffey, Gus Nicolopulos,
Roberta Cerri Teglia, and Mark N. Addiego
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: None
As Mayor of the City of South San Francisco, I do hereby approve the
foregoing Ordinance this
