AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 20.76.080(c) OF THE SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING THE NOTIFICATION PERIOD
FOR COMPLIANCE WITH SIGN REGULATIONS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Subsection (c) of Section 20.76.080 of the South San Francisco
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read:
SECTION 20.76.080 Enforcement~Eiability-Penalty
(c) Violations. If the Code Enforcement Officer finds any sign
not complying with the regulations of this title, written notice shall be given
to the sign owner and to the property owner. The notice shall specify the time
period within which compliance must be achieved. If the sign owner or the
property owner fails to remove or alter the sign so as to comply with the
standards herein set forth after such notice, the Code Enforcement Officer may
cause such sign to be removed, or altered to comply, at the expense of the sign
owner or owner of the property upon which the sign is located.
SECTION 2. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
This ordinance shall be published once in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper
of general circulation in the City of South San Francisco, as required by law, and
shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after its adoption.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco, held the 9th day of December , 19 87 .
Adopted as an Ordinance of the City of South San Francisco at an ad,iourned regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, held the 16th
day of December , 19 87 , by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers-Richard.A. Haffey, Gus Nicolopulos. Roberta Cerri
Teglia, and Jack Drago
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Mark N. Addieqo
