AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 10.40.065 TO THE
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROHIBIT
URINATING AND DEFECATING IN PUBLIC
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 10.40.065 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code is
hereby added to read:
Section 10.40.065 Urinating and defecating in public place or view.
(a) It is unlawful for any person to urinate or defecate on any public
property, or on any private property open to the public or in open view from
public property.
lb) Any person violating this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction shall be punished as set forth in Chapter 1,24 of this
code.
SECTION 2. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE
This ordinance shall be published once, with the names of those City Council
members voting for or against it, in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of
general circulation in the City of South San Francisco, as required by law, and
shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after its adoption.

Adopted as an Ordinance of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, held the 14th
day of March , 1990, by the following vote:

Councilmembers Gus Nicolopulos, John R. Penna, Roberta Cerri Teglia,
and Mayor Pro Tem Jack Drago
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Mayor Richard A. Haffey
